1. Purpose of the Application

Baixem (the “Application”) is an iOS and Android software designed to help users optimize their public transport journeys, primarily in Barcelona and its surrounding areas.

The Application allows the User to select a destination stop and provides guidance on where to board (carriage and door position) so that, upon arrival, the User is as close as possible to exits, escalators, elevators, or transfer points.

This may help the User save time and navigate more efficiently.

The Application is not an essential tool for transportation. The Developer (Bartos Márk, info@baixem.cat) assumes no liability for any personal injury, accident, financial loss, or any other damage resulting from the use of the Application. The User uses the Application at their own risk.

The Application is independent from any transportation providers (including but not limited to TMB, FGC, Rodalies, or TRAM).

2. Accuracy, Updates, and Error Handling

The Developer does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information provided in the Application.

The User acknowledges that:

  • data may become outdated,
  • errors may occur.

Users may report errors via email to the Developer.

Bug fixes and updates are performed at the Developer’s discretion and are not guaranteed.

Any updates (including new lines, stations, or improvements) are provided voluntarily and are not an obligation.

This section also applies to features unlocked through in-app purchases.

3. Personal Data

By registering in the Application, the User accepts these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

3.1 User Data

The Developer may collect and store:

  • email address
  • name
  • user identifier
  • purchase data
  • usage statistics within the Application

Data is stored using Google Firebase.

3.2 Newsletter

The User may opt in to receive newsletters and can unsubscribe at any time.

Newsletter services are managed via Brevo.

3.3 Location Data

With the User’s permission, the Application may access location data to provide relevant transport-related information. This is further forwarded to TBM, TRAM, Rodalies and FGC in order to show nearby departures, and additional informations.

3.4 Contact

The User may contact the Developer via email under info@baixem.cat. Emails may be stored temporarily for support and development purposes.

3.5 Data Deletion

The User may request deletion of their data via the Application or by contacting the Developer. It will be carried out in 90 days.

4. Availability

The Application may be discontinued at any time by the Developer or platform providers (including Apple and Google). In this case, the user might lose access to content already paid for.

5. Subscriptions and Digital Content

Baixem operates on a subscription model (“Baixem Pro”).

The subscription:

  • provides access to additional features,
  • does not guarantee continuous updates or new content.

Digital content:

  • is licensed to the User only,
  • is non-transferable,
  • might contain errors,
  • might be changed or removed at any time.

Purchases:

  • are linked to the User’s Apple or Google account,
  • refunds must be handled through the respective platform.

6. Intellectual Property

All elements of the Application, including:

  • design and graphics
  • database
  • brand name “Baixem”

are protected by copyright and applicable intellectual property laws.

7. Changes to Terms

The Developer reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.

The User is responsible for reviewing the current version.

By using the Application, the User agrees to these Terms.
